I’m stuck this way. I’ll never change. I’ll never be a good person. I try and I try to be better but it’s always me that knocks me back down. I am truly my own worst enemy. I can’t take being in this stupid body with this stupid face and a stupid life where I will never achieve anything. I’m truly the definition of a loser and I hate myself for it. I’m not going to amount to anything so why do I have to stay here? Why do I have to stay in a place I hate the world that made me the loser I am. I had a pair: 2x4 ddr4-3200 cl16 "G.Skill Ripjaws V Series"
I just got a new pair: 2x8 ddr4-3200 cl16 "T-Force Vulcan Z"
They're the same speeds, just different sizes. I've read that you should avoid mixing memory with different clock speeds, but if those are the same, is there any reason I shouldn't combine the two pairs for 24gb instead of settling with 16? The extra 8gb doesn't make or break anything for me, I just figure I shouldn't waste some perfectly good sticks of RAM
If it's okay to mix, does it matter which slots I use for which pair? Obviously the motherboard has specific slots for the first pair vs the second pair, but does it matter if the 2x4 vs 2x8 goes in the first or second group?

The email below was sent out to warehouse managers within a multi-billion dollar US furniture retailer. It’s #2 that is the most questionable item below. AOM = Assistant Operations Manager.
Please take some time to read, digest and discuss this email as a management team. I will lay the framework for 2022 in terms of behaviors that I expect. I will not get into specific kpi’s until we are complete with the Summit in December. I would also LOVE TO SEE every person on this reply letting them team know if they are “IN or OUT”. These commitments we will make today are not easy, and I do understand I am asking a lot from all of us. You’re reply will help me understand who on our leadership team is paying attention and is committed to excellence! Don’t feel bad if you can’t make the commitment, you will not be belittled, but this team will have all the behaviors listed below.
AOMs- I want to thank you all for the work you put into the leadership course and thank you in advance for your efforts and hard work in 2022. You are the group that drive results in our DCs, as the majority of the interactions with our warehouse associates, sales associates, vendors, and carriers lie in your hands. We will not win in 2022 without your leadership and I know you will not let the team down!
Laying the ground work & Key lessons- there were many great lessons I learned this past year from other leaders, independent reading, seminars, podcasts, and what I witnessed first hand from all of you and our teams in the warehouses. I want to specifically focus on just a few behaviors/expectations that I have for our team that are NON-NEGOTIABLE going forward. If you witness someone not living by these 3 expectations you need to pick up the phone and Call me right away, and if it’s me, I still expect a phone call and I want to hear you telling me to step my game up. As we go into our conference for 2022 these lessons and expectations will be critical to driving the targets and KPIs we need to win at retail this year. 2022 is the most critical year of our company’s existence and our leadership will be the difference maker. Closing stores was hugely important, it unhooked us from the anchor that held us under water. We have now risen to the surface level of the water but our ability to swim to shore rests in how well we do with the below listed behaviors that we must exemplify every day, at every minute, with everyone we interact with.
1-Control vs React- “We can control what we can control, and the rest, we simply react”. No doubt this phrase is critical to our mindset. Our company will not stop changing (and if it does we are in serious trouble)! I have witnessed on way too many occasions our team taking on a VICTIM MENTALITY and that WILL STOP in 2022. I see us regularly blaming others, complaining about other departments (sales, purchasing, merchandising, etc) and not focusing on what we can control (BTW- I say we because I have made this mistake as well). That stops today. I expect that anyone on our leadership team that hears/sees an associate, a peer, or even their own boss going down this path of placing blame or complaining instead of focusing on solutions calls them out. If that is me, then I expect you call me on it. In order to WIN, we have to stop being victims and start realizing that we control our own destiny. When something happens that we cannot control, we simply find a solution and react to get to the best outcome.
2-Hustle and grind- nothing fancy here...we have become soft! When I say “we”, I mean us, as leaders. The result of that...we have soft teams. If you are not ready to out-work everyone in your building and everyone on this email, you’ve already lost. I’ll say it again...”what we need to accomplish in 2022 is not easy”, and failure is not an option! This is OUR company, this is how we feed OUR families, and we need to make this place great! If you don’t love giving your 100% EFFORT, HUSTLE, and GRIND to this team/business, it’s ok, I will respect you more for your honesty. In fact, unemployment is 3.6% and there are tons of other jobs available. I will personally help you find another team/company you are passionate about. But...if you do believe in this company... if you do think we can improve lives of our teams, guests, and give VALUE...then YOU MUST LOVE THE PROCESS OF GRINDING EVERY SINGLE DAY, because anything less is not acceptable. 99.9% of people that have achieved something great in their life made sacrifice and put in work that others were unwilling to invest. As far as I know, none of us hit the mega millions jackpot (but if you did and you want to share, let me know) haha! We are not the .0000000001%, and therefore WE GRIND!! We are leaders and we set the tone for how hard our teams work. It’s time to look in the mirror and hold ourselves accountable to the results (check the scorecard). If you don’t know what this scorecard is that I speak of, tell me. Because that means I’m not doing a good enough job of holding OMs accountable. We must put in the extra hours. We must put the needs of our teams before our own needs. We must teach our people everything we have learned. We must educate ourselves through reading, podcasts, VLOGS, virtual campus, dissecting reports, etc. study how to get results and go get them...EDUCATE AND EXECUTE!!!
3-Communication and engagement- the DISC exercise that we have all now completed will help us understand our tendencies & behaviors but it will also help us identify others as well. If you truly understand yourself and own who you are your relationships with others will thrive. Just as important, you need to know your audience...OMs, DMs, AOMs, area managers, whse associates. We must adjust our styles to match the needs of our team. Who are we talking to and what are Their strengths/weaknesses, communication preferences? This is how you get results through others. Quite simply, Your ability to know yourself and read others is critical! Not only do we need to find ways BETTER communicate but we must also begin to OVER communicate (to our teams in the dc, in the stores, our peers in other markets, our vendors, our delivery carriers, etc). We must be relentless in our pursuit for greatness that we feel like a broken record. The ability to communicate separates leaders from managers. We don’t need managers on our team...WE NEED LEADERS. Managers tell others what to do, leaders inspire others to do. Managers get minimal effort out of their teams, leaders have teams that run through brick walls. Which team do we have? If it’s not the team running through brick walls we need to look in the mirror because IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT, IT IS OUR FAULT.
